Q1.
For PSLE & GCE ‘O’ students, do you gear them towards the exam?
Yes. All our students are following courses in line with the Ministry of Education syllabus. In each year we practise the specific skills required by the examination of that year.

Q2.
Do you follow the school syllabus?
Yes. Our syllabus was approved by the Ministry of Education and closely follows the Ministry’s syllabus at all levels. All the activities in our classrooms help your child to do well on the examination topics.

Q3.
Where are your teachers from?
Our teachers are qualified, experienced and skilled Singaporean teachers.

Q4.
Can parents check on the students’ progress?

Yes. Parents are encouraged to attend parent-teacher meetings twice a year to look at the children’s books, discuss their examinations and share worries and problems. At any time of the year parents can call the front desk and make an appointment to see the class teacher or parents may discuss their child’s progress over the phone. Homework sheets and their work files will be brought home after each.

Q5.
How is your programme different?

We follow exactly the school syllabus and have students placed according to their school levels (there is no mixture of students from different levels in a class). There are lots of hands-on activities and visual aids at the appropriate levels and teachers (instead of supervisors) help students with their work.
We use different worksheets (Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced) at each school year level. We have challenging, interesting and non-routine problems at appropriate levels for suitable topics to sustain students’ interest. Maths Games will also be included in the teaching at suitable times.
We have thousands of dollars worth of Maths resources yet the fees are reasonable. We also provide snacks at break-times.

Q6.
What are the advantages of being in group tuition versus 1-to-1 private tuition?

Group tuition enables social interaction among peers and this promotes mutual motivation. At times, peers may offer varied solutions to a problem and there is co-operative learning.
The specially selected teachers are well qualified and experienced. They help to provide a positive and supportive environment.

Q7.
How is The Maths Solution different?

We have smaller classes therefore more individual attention. Our teachers do not merely supervise the worksheet practice. There is interaction / support of peers at the same level. They do not work silently and alone. There is teaching provided for each topic.
